This app is an excellent one for reading, though Ive only used it for Project Gutenberg books. The best thing the app has is the Spritz speed reading technology built right in. I am a voracious reader, and while most books I want to take my time with, I have a huge list of titles Ive been meaning to read - some rather large and a bit daunting (especially as I have developed attention problems due to medical issues). Ive taken a few speed reading courses in my life, and read several books on various techniques, to no avail. With Spritz, within literally five minutes, I was reading 350 words per minute! I usually keep it at 300 wpm (the app lets you easily get to and change the Spritz settings), and have gotten a few titles off that "must read someday" list - with excellent retention, and far less eye strain (you must go to Spritzs website to see how it works, it is genius, and REALLY WORKS!). The new update expands what you can read with Spritz, so I am delighted. Well worth the subscription to use it offline, if you read a lot. Ive got Burtons full translation of Thousand and One Nights, and an unabridged copy of the Hindu epic the Mahabharata (something like 15 times longer than the Iliad & Odyssey combined) - Im going to go zip through them using this great app and Spritz right now...
